Start…

Sometimes the hardest part is starting.

Not because you don’t have ideas—but because you have so many. They swirl around, half-formed and full of possibility, asking for your attention all at once. And you wonder which one is the “right” one to choose.

Here’s the truth: there isn’t just one. I can tell you, I have sat with this idea of supporting women for a few years now and though I know more than I did a few years ago, I still hit the pause button and say, “Uh, maybe not yet”. Sometimes, I need to say, “Fooey, just start”. Have you ever had that moment when the car doesn’t start and you put your hands on the wheel, (okay, maybe slap the hands on the wheel and put your head down) crying out “just start” and then you turn the key and “Behold, movement”. I then say, “Thank you Jesus! “

There’s the idea that fits right now. The version of your work that matches the season you’re in today—not the one you’ll be in five years from now. And that’s enough to begin.

Think of it like setting a table before a meal. You don’t need to know what you’ll cook next week. You choose what’s needed for this moment, pull up a chair, and sit down.

Your story works the same way.

You get to start where you are. You get to speak in your own voice. You get to change your mind, refine your message, and grow as you go. Nothing is wasted. Every draft, every attempt, every brave step forward is part of the process.

So start imperfectly. Start honestly. Start now.

The rest will unfold—right on time. ✨
